Ideas for a pinky promise tattoo?
I want to get a tattoo that resembles pinky promises. I do not want the word ‘Promise’. I want something to resemble it or resemble togetherness with my lover.
Things that I have thought of are the infinity symbol (I thought of each of us getting half so when we promise it makes a whole symbol.
I like the idea of both of us getting a half of something that makes a picture.. but remember its on our pinkies so it’s a small canvas.

I’d suggest sticking with something that will still make sense if you don’t stay together.
What @Jeruba said, but I’ll also add something that will mean something to you other than your former lover if you don’t stay together. Last thing you need is a permanent reminder of a failed relationship.

@Jeruba @Seek_Kolinahr I understand where you are coming from. It happens to be my fiance and even if we did split (unlikely) he is and forever would be a huge part of my life. I will always love him so I wouldn’t have any regret. That’s just how I look at it.
How about if you get yourselves a pair of nice (removable) rings, and go for matching tattoos on your tenth anniversary?
I’ve been married for 34 years to the same man, and I’m still glad we plighted our troth with metal rather than with ink. Both of us would have had a lot of erasing to do first.
