Why is Sandusky still crying "conspiracy"?

Asked by gailcalled (54644points) October 8th, 2012

Why can he not take responsibility and apologize? Herewith his taped jailhouse statement today before sentencing.

“Sandusky said his accusers were part of a “well-orchestrated effort of the media, investigators, the system, Penn State, psychologists (and) civil attorneys” to falsely put him in prison.”

That’s a lot of people to orchestrate.

I thought the same thing when I saw it on the news. Who is he trying to kid, himself or his wife? He will get jail time and it will be for the rest of his life.

Lowlifes and scumbags always blame everyone else for their actions. They never have the balls to look in the mirror and say I fucked up. So they never get it right.

Really?
“Tree Jumpers” (pedophiles) and Arsonists have the worst time in prison than anybody else.
You do the math….

gailcalled's avatar

@boffin: What’s math got to do with it? Sandusky’s unwillingness to show any remorse or contrition doesn’t help his case, does it?

Adirondackwannabe's avatar

Yeah, I don’t know how math fits with being a perve.

@chyna One would certainly hope, but you never really know at all what will happen in a court case. He may get 25 years or life, one can never really know for sure.

Classic defend til the end situation. As was said, really messed up people never take any responsibility for their behaviors. Denial is a long river. lol

Trying to save face, even if only to himself. His is a particularly heinous crime, one that I’m sure that even he feels guilty about on some level, and his pride won’t let him admit to that much fault.

You’d like to give him the benefit of the doubt, I mean there’s no actual physical evidence right?

But at a certain point you realize 10+ kids ain’t lying.

In his earlier statement today, Sandusky said, “In my heart, I know I did not do these alleged disgusting acts. My wife has been my only sex partner.”

That. in itself, is a bizarre version of trying to plead innocent.

During the sentencing, (30–60 years) the judge said, ””Your crime is not only what you did to their bodies, but your assault on their psyche and their souls,” the judge told him. ”The tragedy of this story is it is a story of betrayal. Some of your victims had a genuine affection for you.

It is precisely that ability to conceal those vices from yourself and everyone else that in my view makes you dangerous.”

^^^ I couldn’t agree more. I hope he gets his come uppence in prison, karma is a bitch and now it’s his turn to be someones bitch in the big house. Bah!

Within hours, a pre-taped audio statement from jail was conveniently playing on Penn State’s ComRadio. It allowed him to condemn the system, label everything a conspiracy and beg those with “the courage to listen” to “evaluate the accusers and their families.” He then promptly did it for them, of course, labeling his victims as greedy, dishonest, disloyal, poor, trashy, troubled liars. According to Yahoo.com news.

What a sick, pathetic man.

Being a pedophile is considered to be the bottom of the barrel of crimes that a person can be convicted of, according to society and especially in prison among other inmates.
