What is wrong with my hyperlinks?

Asked by troubleinharlem (7991points) December 10th, 2012

I’m trying to make hyperlinks that will just show up on my (tumblr) page as the set word, but instead the entire text shows up. I wrote out the hyperlinks correctly, I think, but for some reason it won’t show up as the set word.

Here’s what I’m trying to do.

What am I doing wrong?

”Myspace”
Make sure it looks like that. Just replace the word Myspace with the word you want, and for the URL put the internet address you want it to direct to. (exclude the quotes around the outsides of the example as well: you will still need the quotes around the URL section)

@digitalimpression : That’s exactly what I have already. The link works fine, it’s clickable, but its just so ugly.

It isn’t clickable for me. I am getting the exact same problem when I cut and paste as I am with your earlier link.

Try adding a paragraph mark
before the hyperlink command….make sure to close the paragraph as well.

Also, your url example only points to a folder and not to an actual webpage….you have to include the webpage filename.
