College application help (please see details)

Asked by NostalgicChills (2787points) January 2nd, 2013

I applied to the Culinary Institute of America and sent everything in 3 weeks ago. Originally the college essay was a 500 word essay describing who your Culinary Inspiration was. Around the time I finished my essay, they decided to change the admissions essay to these short essay questionS (emphasis on the “s”), 100 words each. I emailed my admissions officer when I noticed this change and asked if I could send in my essay instead, because it was finished and ready to go, and those were the directions I was given. Today, I got an email saying that I still needed to send in my “short essay questions” so I sent her an email back that says I sent everything in already, and I reminded her what she told me. Well anyways, I don’t know if all that background information was necessary, but what I want to know is, can I be penalized (as in rejected) because I sent in the essay instead of the short essay answers? I really hope not. All I want is my acceptance letter. :(
