Can radiation therapy in humans affect their pets?

Asked by theodore (1 points ) January 3rd, 2013

My grandmother was recently diagnosed with uterine cancer and does a everyday radiation therapy. I do not know lots of the facts, sorry. To make it short: she was diagnosed with phase one uterine cancer, had a hysterectomy, and began radiation recently.

Her canine, a tea cup chihuahua has stopped consuming, stopped sitting with my granny and it is simply not her typical self. Is that this because of the treatment? While she is going right through the treatment? = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = should the dog be taken away from my grandma =

As long as the dog is not exposed to her feces it should be fine.
