I like Zensky.
Since I’m Scottish I would need to be a religious leader and called Rabbi Burns
I don’t know what my name would be, but my Yiddish nickname is probably Wundalla.
We call Janb Bubby.
Mine is Teelah. But we always called them our Hebrew names, not Jewish names.
I think maybe though, it’s Shitzsky…
Don’t be so hard on yourself, shippele.
Menschler. Gotta be a mensch.
Oh, you meant like a pun off the Fluther name, I guess. Um…I got it: MeshugenahLatke
Rowena Schwartz. I’d be famous for my cheese filled latkes.
I guess it should be Wundele, not Wundalla. Shows you how Jewish I am.
I looked up Jewish names and I like ’‘Giza’’. Lol. But I don’t know about Jewish names…you mean just like Hebrew names? Or do Jews have titles or modified names or what?
@zenvelo There is a GladysMensch on fluther, lol.
@wundayatta There are many pronunciations – Lithuainian, Russian, Polish etcetera. We are merely writing it phonetically anyway – I have definitely heard Bubbala, Bubele, Bobele, Bobenyu, etc.
Wundalla is fine.
Wundele looks better to me. More Yiddish.
My actual name is a hebrew name, Miriam.
I actually always thought it was Esther – who was the King of Persia’s Jewish wife.
Ezekiel. It sounds and looks cool.
Personally, I like Krusty the Klown’s full name: Herschel Shmoikel Pinkus Yerucham Krustofski
@zensky Then i guess I claim zensch.
Mine is Yoel, which combines the covenant name of God, YHWH (or Yahweh), and el (god), and has been translated as “one to whom YHWH is God,” that is, a worshipper of YHWH. Bow down, all ye who read this.
