If I buy this image can I use it in my video game?

Asked by Russter (242points) January 23rd, 2013

I want to buy this image: http://www.123rf.com/photo_14868409_beautiful-gray-and-white-cat.html. If I buy it with the Standard License can I use the picture for commercial use in my computer game (the game won’t be free, it will cost $$)? Thanks.

sorry, i think i answered my own question, i would delete it but i don’t know how.

At http://www.123rf.com/license.php?type=standard it says:

“2. 123RF grants You a nonexclusive, nontransferable license to use, reproduce, modify, publish, display, and distribute the Content according to the Terms and Conditions of this Agreement.

(b) as a design element on a website, video game, or CD-ROM but NOT in connection with any Web site template or software product for distribution or use by others. ”

So i think I can?

No. You need the extended electronic only licence.

If you look at this licence summary design elements for software for resale is covered in the second table.
