Am I able to modify my Fluther username?

Asked by SadieMartinPaul (8696 points ) January 26th, 2013

I used the names of my husband, dog, and cat when I created a Fluthername. I don’t like my username; it turns out that people think I’m a guy. Is there any way to modify my name, just slightly, without deleting my existing account?

You can contact @augustlan and explain to her why you want your username changed, and it should be possible to keep all of your existing posts under the new name.

Or just start over. Done it many times.

Yes, ask Augstlan. She changed mine a few months ago :) Just let her know what your new username is and why you want to change it. She’s cool!

Usually you get one name change. You ask augustlan and she can do it for you. She usually asks that you put your former name on your profile.

You can get one name change, ask Auggie to change it to what you’d like. The first time is a free pass. Think about it good though, because you can’t change it after that, if you don’t have a very good reason to do so.

I’ll be happy to change it for you, @PaulSadieMartin. Just let me know what name you’d prefer, and I’ll take care of it. :)

Are you going to let us know your new name?

Are you going to put up a pretty picture for us too?

If you all look up to the top of the thread, you’ll see the new name. Can’t help you with the picture, though!

@bookish1 I haven’t figured out how to post a photo. Technology isn’t one of my strengths. (If anyone would like to provide hints and tips, could you please send a private message? Thank you!)
