How can I find out who took part in the filming of a music video?

Asked by fremen_warrior (5510points) March 10th, 2013

Is there a database like imdb but for music videos? How can one find out who the impossibly fantastic looking people starring in clips are? (totally not a stalker :P)

Ideas?

I think, in most cases, that information is not even kept track of by the artists, let alone catalogued by an outside body. The best you can hope for is that the person you’re stalki curious about drew some attention at the time or later, and people talked about him or her in print or on the internet.

There is a site called Allmusic which does a lot of cross-referencing of information, and hosts a lot of videos, but even they don’t give video credits.

You might have better luck asking Fluther if anyone recognizes the person.

Back when MTV played music videos, they had some info. Have you checked theirs or VH1 or Fuse’s websites?

Wikipedia might have info on the more popular videos.

Which videos are you curious about? Pop-Up Videos often has crew information.
