Is there a way to get a check cashed when it is over 90days from the date issued at a check cash dept.

Kids worked for the youth opportunity movement program (Yo! Watts) in Los Angeles, CA. Last day of work was March 7, 2013.
Picked up checks went to the check cashing facility. Was told that the checks were over 30 days from the date issued and that they can’t cash them. The checks were dated November 29, 2012. I no longer have a bank account. Is there any way I can get these staled checks cashed.
