My hair, so much for home styling…sigh. Oh well. It grows back I guess.

Oh you don’t want to know! I expected too much of a friend and am afraid I have lost them for good. Really painful!

Last night, I wanted to listen to the most recent The Thinking Atheist podcast. Hement Mehta from “The Friendly Atheist” was the call in guest. So I popped in my headphones and hit “play”, and fell asleep 20 minutes in or so.

Of course, the headphones fell out of my head at some point during the night. So when my smartphone’s alarm clock went off, did I hear it?

No.

And that means that my husband and I were both late for work this morning.

QED.

While trying to repair a crappy snow shovel by putting glue on the stripped Phillips screw, I knocked the handle against the 12” milk-glass glass globe in my kitchen that hangs from the ceiling and houses the light bulb.

The glass shattered; so I spent lots of time vacuuming and wiping the floor down with damp cotton to protect Milo’s pad. Then braced myself for finding a replacement and paying the electrician.

I had plans on getting a lot of work done, today, but I buggered off. Oh, well, there’s always tomorrow, Miss Scarlet.

I decided not to go to yoga this morning because I wasn’t real fond of the teacher. I was going to go this afternoon instead. looked at the schedule to see waht time and realized that the teacher I thought was teaching wasn’t and she is teaching the afternoon class.

A friendship, I think…
But it was only 50% my doing >_<

Aww, I’m sorry, @bookish1

I haven’t fucked up but this economy has fucked me up.
I am experiencing severe sadness about the fate of my goose “Marwyn”, even though I have given him a wonderful life I should have made some changes a year or more ago, but he was what kept me hanging on out here, hoping I could hold on a few more years until he died of old age. My kingdom for a goose. :-(

I almost broke both my hands this morning in a fit of rage. Considering how much pain I’m in, I can’t believe there aren’t two matching holes in the hallway drywall.

RandomGirl's avatar

@FutureMemory Wow, that must’ve been quite the rage…

Hmm… I don’t think I’ve blundered remarkably lately. I keep falling back into the same old habits, which is really frustrating.

I lost my car key yesterday whilst walking the dog, I was too busy listening to a podcast. I had 10% charge left on phone, had to pick the kids up from singing lessons and desperately needed to pee. The key was somewhere in a wild overgrown 10 acre park, the dig was thrilled buy our backtracking walk around the entire bloody place, my friend came to the rescue (after a crazy phone call) with a spare key so I could pick up the kids and whilst I did he also found the key for me!!!! Brilliant!

@Coloma oh, no. He passed away? I know you loved him. Tell me if I’m wrong.
I can’t think of a blunder at all for today but lately and right now I’m making a terrible mistake by keeping my feet up on this desk with my ankles crossed thus putting a terrible strain on my knees and legs. It’s a habit for years now and I’m afraid it has caught up with me. Now I have knee pain. They just go up there without my even thinking about it. I am able to do it because my chair reclines and the cordless keyboard sits on my lap.

Coloma's avatar

@Aster No, he is not dead, yet, but if I cannot find him a perfect home I will be saying “goodbye” here at home, and burying him with his old comrades. I have an APB out and have had many responses, but nobody nearby that can provide for him in the manner which he is accustomed. He MUST have someone to bond with, a new girlfriend and a secure house and pen for his safety, most people out here just want to toss him out on their pond and property, not acceptable.

Arewethereyet's avatar

@coloma this is so sad, I wish I could help but I’m too far away, surely someone will want Marwyn before its too late. We gave been spared the really nasty effects of the GFC I’m so sad to hear that you have lost your home to :{

A couple weeks ago I was driving a forklift, and clipped the side of a roll up door, causing it to strain while closing, and the door next to it was sprung, so it wouldn’t close.
The funny thing is that I didn’t really care.
Years ago, I would have agonized over it for months. I am a total perfectionist at work, and making that kind of mistake is unacceptable. Here, I just kind of laughed it off. Luckily, my boss was able to repair the door so he didn’t have to report it as an accident.
