@9thCipher Do you actually mean a bibliography (which is a list of sources that you consulted during your research, but did not necessarily cite in your paper), or do you mean a literature cited section (which is restricted to only the sources that you cited in the paper)?
If you are talking about an assignment that you’ve been given, it is important for you to follow the rules given in your assignment. There are many different styles available, usually according to groups (for example, APA) or journals (for example, Nature). Whichever set of rules that you end up following, the key is to be utterly consistent. Do exactly the same thing for every single reference.
If this is not for an assignment, but for publication, you must follow the rules given by the journal in question. They will usually be very clearly stated somewhere on the journal’s website.
