Hard to read your details with no punctuation. Thanks for the capital M though.

I’m not so sure she knows the difference between the truth and a lie. You say she does, but you’re punishing her because she’s lying? At her age, she may just be capable of understanding the basic principles. But be patient with her, and love her crazy mucho.

Perhaps instead of getting frustrated, and teaching her to control your emotions, you might try praising her for the big fantastical stories she likes to tell. Tell her she’s very imaginative with a wonderful mind. Laugh with her about it.

Try sitting down and writing a story with her about “the little girl who had 100 pony tails”. Use it as a platform for discussing what’s real, and what isn’t. Love her bunches. She’s counting on you. You sound like a great mom to be concerned with this. Don’t sweat it. It will pass.

I can’t imagine that taking money out of her piggy bank would teach her anything about lying. It will teach her that if you think you have a good reason, you can take other people’s money.

Why would she ever want to put money in there any more? It’s obviously not a safe place. Maybe she’d better learn to hide things too.

I know you’re trying to deal with what you see as a real problem, and I’m sorry for your struggle, but the unintended lessons could just make things worse.

it is very difficult to read a question that has no punctuation or capitalization but maybe you ought to think about going to parenting class and also realize that a five year old has very concrete thinking and can not always tell right from wrong and just to emphasize that i really think that parenting classes would be a good idea i also recommend a book called 123 magic.
