How much in denial does one have to be, to claim that the following white supremacist rant is not racist and generally bigotted?

This rant re-confirms my belief that a racist isn’t capable of thinking of himself as racist. I roomed for a short time in college—by assignment, not by choice—with the most blatant racist I’ve ever met. He simply believed he was right about what, to me, were the ugliest of beliefs.

According to the poster, an unnamed “USMC Vet”

Wow. Though we don’t have an actual source for the original post, it’s alarming to see how many people agreed with it on that other site. It’s sickening.

@augustlan
And it has that site’s equivalent of 22 GQs.

I think it is great that this old s.o.b. is distancing himself from politics. He fell for the white supremacist views of the Tea Party, hook, line, and sinker. I think the letter is an excellent example of senile dementia.

How melodramatic. What an ignorant embarrassment to Americans. What’s sad is that I know people that would agree with him. And, I must say, if he was so proud of his views, he wouldn’t be an unnamed vet.

I’m so sick of all the pointless Obama-hate, as if the world is ending because he was re-elected. We survived Bush. They’ll survive Obama.

So, it was posted by someone called, ☆56lady☆POTL~JLA~PWCM? For someone else? I wouldn’t worry too much about it to be honest. Someone may have posted it just to try and start trouble.

Whoa, people, let’s not go all negative on this guy.

I liked the parts where he wrote, “People like me are completely politically irrelevant” and “You will never again out vote these people.”

Quite worrying that so many people responded to that tripe in such a bigotted way.

Sad..

Thanks for reminding me why I left Sodahead. But I was encouraged that the top comment was one calling out the guy’s racism and bigotry.

Not a shocker.

Sodahead, jesuz. The best part was, “I’m done.”

Where the hell do these people get their twisted ideas? It’s like they’ve abandoned all sense of reason.

The rest of the world must be laughing at us.

@FutureMemory “The rest of the world must be laughing at us.”
No, just at those relics of a bygone age, they’re to be found across the globe…unfortunately.

Pretty dramatic, and yes, sounds pretty racist and sexist, old school. Norman Rockwell’s America isn’t long gone, it’s just not a dream the whole nation shares anymore.

Some of us are okay with a black President (pehaps not Obama- lol) or a female President, or people of the same sex walk down the street next to a mixed race couple. Times are changing and it’s no longer a white American dream. There has to be a middle ground somewhere.

It was pretty bad but it had elements of truth in it. And I think that whenever I read anything that leans too far right or left.
