What are some new "hot spots" in America to live in?

Asked by JonnyCeltics (2721points) June 12th, 2008

I keep hearing about Austin, Texas…any reasons why? Can you name some more? I’m thinking cities here, but others are welcome as well :)

I’ve heard about Washington D.C. more and more in the past few days. People moving there, stories about visiting there, and such.

SF/bay area is great. Just moved here in November and things are a-happening here.
It’d be helpful if you said more about what you’re looking for in a city.

I really wouldn’t know what trendy places to live are in the U.S., but Austin is the one place over there I’ve spent more than a day in and I wouldn’t turn down an offer to move there!! It’s about 2 years ago I was there, but I still wear my ‘Keep Austin Weird’ t-shirt :)

I heard Austin is the best party city in the country.

Sweet, I’m moving.

Nevermind, I don’t think I could leave California.

just worked with a company from Austin and not only were they awesome, but they told me Austin is as well. Creative hotspot with a cheap standard of living. Sounds like an interesting place to live!
