How can a painter utilize Kickstarter?

I take it you mean an artist painter, not a house painter.

You need funding for a large project. Each contributor will receive a high quality giclee print of the painting.

If you’re planning a monumental work then @zenvelo‘s idea sounds good to me.

A painter I know makes some good supplemental money selling her work on ebay. But those are finished pieces.
