Sell or scrap this computer equipment?

Asked by XOIIO (18328points) May 19th, 2013

I have a nettest CMA 4000 which I acquired a while ago, and I originally thought it would be good to sell.

I have the original case, manual, installation floppy discs, calibration certificate and many many accessories (another case full), however today I find myself out of things to take apart, and I’m sure this has plenty of goodies aside from being able to see what makes it tick, but if I was able to sell it, it would be a pretty penny.

I am torn between these two options, do you think I have a chance of selling it, or should I set her down, grab my screwdriver, and see what’s inside?

I think you just have decide which you want to do more: tinker or possibly make a few bucks by selling it. Why don’t you go ahead and advertise it on Ebay or Craigslist to see if there’s any interest for it. If you do or don’t get some nibbles, that’ll help you decide.

@Pachyderm_In_The_Room Yeah that’s probably what I’ll try. Not sure how long I should leave it for though, and I’ll need to head to the UPS store to find out shipping on them.

I’d give it two weeks.
