Did your doctor do a day 3 blood draw? Was your LH tested also?

Do you have the lab information for normal ranges?

FSH reference and Progesterone reference

I’m sure your doctor will review the results with you.

Good luck getting knocked up!!

Do you cycle regularly? How many days is your cycle?

The FSH/LH ratio is very important for fertility. Have you been trying for a long time?

Me and my husband been trying for a year now. We have two daughter but not together. I had my cycle on April 3, April 28 and May 21, 2013. An they only last for three days.

Ok, so your cycles are a little short, and inconsistent, but not necessarily abnormal, assuming this is not a change from when you were younger. It means you most likely ovulate early, probably day 11 or 12. Are you trying on the right day? Most women ovulate 14 days before their period. But, a lot of women try 14 days after they get their period. If you are doing that you are way too late most likely.

Are you seeing an RE or a GYN?

I really didn’t know when I ovulate. So I should try 11 or 12 days before my cycle. Thank you so much because I thought something was wrong,I never had blood work due to trying to get pregnant and I was assuming my progesterone was low because I had a IUD before.
Thanks

You can buy an ovulation kit and it will help you predict when you ovulate. If you don’t want to bother with that I would have sex day 11 or 12 or both, assuming his sperm count is good, and don’t stand up right away after sex, you can even lie on your back and elevate your legs a little for 20 minutes to give the sperm a good chance to get past the cervix.

When you ovuate your discharge should get heavier and like raw egg whites, yu can try to pay attention to that as an indicator to better narrow things down. Plus, many women feel themselves ovulate, it will most likely be late afternoon on one side, a slight irriation in the ovary. The sides usually alternate every month.

Does your husband have any indication his testosterone has dropped? Doesn’t build muscle easily, has trouble staying hard, anything like that?

I’m so excited.. Thats the day we had sex on the 11 and 12, my fingers are cross. I started my cycle on yesterday or is it to early to tell. An no my husband don’t have any trouble with staying hard, but he haven’t had blood work in a while.
Thank u

I don’t understand. You had sex on day 11 and 12, but you started your cycle/bleeding yesterday? Then you aren’t pregnant. You started bleeding yesterday afternoon/evening? Today is day 1.

I know I’m not pregnant, I’m going to buy the ovulation kit and try the suggestions you have givin me.

Do you have an appointment with an RE? Very often those appointments take about 3 months to get in, so I would make an appointment now, try for the next few months to get pregnant, and if you do, great, cancel the appointment. If you don’t you have the appointment already set up. Assuming your hormones are good and you are having sex on the right days, the doctor will want to test his sperm and also probably make sure your fallopian tubes are open.
