What do you think about the CEO of Exxon/Mobil Rex Tillerson's statement "What good does it do to save the planet if humans suffer"?

Asked by Linda_Owl (7748points) May 30th, 2013

He went on to say that he does not see any reduction in Green House gases until 2040. He says that countries run on oil & to impose stricter emissions guidelines will cause human suffering.

This is the Link to his statements

What do you think about his statements? Personally, I think he is just out to make as much money as he can… but it puzzles me as to where & how he expects to live?

“What good” does it do? It saves the planet. Which is more important than humans anyway. Fuck humans.

Wow, really, an oil executive that lacks foresight? Wait, what’s the sarcasm indicator?

(If he’s got kids, guess he just doesn’t give a damn.)

It’s our planet. We’re kind of depending on it.

What planet is he on?

I think that Tillerson is very short-sighted & if he has children, then he is worse than being short-sighted! Of course he is convinced that he can buy his way out of any bad situation – but considering how bad Global Warming may become, I think that he will find himself sadly mistaken.
