Does Google's acquisition of Waze smack of anti-trust?

Asked by Ltryptophan (12091points) June 9th, 2013

They are buying up the competition there! I know there is a problem when certain competition merges, is this a bad deal? Waze is awesome, I hope they don’t sell out.

I heard that Facebook is buying Waze – an idea I hate more than the idea of Google buying it. I already detest the social and advertising components that have been added into Waze over the years, and FB would make that worse. I also don’t like the idea of my location and movements being fed to either of these mega corps, either (I keep Location Services deactivated for all but a few programs/apps).
