Anybody else notice this "error" in the movie about Liberace?

Asked by Aster (20023points) June 17th, 2013

In Under the Candelabra Michael Douglas uses the word, “death” instead of “deaf.” The first time, he said to Matt Damon about his dog, “She’s blind and death.” The second time it was “tone death” I think. Is there anyone who picked up on this besides me?

I think Liberace had a slight speech impediment that made his words come out sounding different.

Perhaps he had an obsession with death. Anyway, it’s only a movie. One thing is for sure, reality and the movies have very little in common.

Pretty sure it wasn’t an error in the movie. It was deliberately done to show how Liberace actually spoke.

I knew someone who spoke like that.
