Good website for cheap Airline tickets?

Asked by RedmannX5 (814points) June 17th, 2008

I am planning a trip from Denver, CO to Cozumel, Mexico. I need to find the cheapest flight possible. Any websites/random tips that would help me out? Any personal experience would be appreciated.

This has been discussed before: check these
Use what you find as a guide, but always check the individual airline sites as well for comparison.

You need airport codes DEN and CZM

I’m not sure it’s the cheapest, but I’ve had a lot of luck using Orbitz to book vacations.

http://www.spiritair.com/ is super cheap, but has limited destinations.

Just look up your flights on http://Kayak.com. You don’t buy directly from them, but it is more like a search engine that checks all the travel sites (including the airlines’ sites) and gives you all your options. When you click on one you want, it takes you to the site offering the price.

At first glance, it appears no non-stops and the cheapest the fare is going to be (if booked two weeks in advance is the $400 to $500 range RT. You might find cheaper flights by booking Southwest, Jet Blue or another airline (that doesn’t list on the discount sites) to Florida or the like and connect with another airline there.
