How many hotels rooms are booked online every year?

I’m trying to find out how many lodging reservations are made online every year (hotels, motels, b&bs…) internationally by solo travelers (1 person per room).

Since your need is so specific, it may be harder to find. You might try contacting the Travel Industry Association. Emory University’s Business School also offeres these resources.

Let me start your count off: I booked 65 nights in 2007 online for my single room. Mostly at Intercontinental Hotels Group.
