What do you mean by going into law? Becoming a practicing attorney? A law-enforcemenet officer?

Anyone can run for a political office. Many positions at the grass roots level require only common sense, energy, awareness of the issues and the solutions and the ability to read the sense of the community.

@gailcalled I don’t know, I’m new to the field…I will apply to be a steward in the military first and save money to finish my philosophy degree and see what happens. I’m on disability for now, today I will apply to be a Wal-Mart greeter to start.

There are no guarantees in life @talljasperman. Even with a degree nobody can say you will definitely be successful in your chosen career. However, it’s really good to have a goal and direction in life. What I can say for certain is if you don’t make a start, even as a greeter at Walmart, and begin education and living your life with some focus, than no, you may not reach your goal even in a small way.

One of the problems with congress and the senate is too many lawyers. I never vote for lawyers except for Judges or district attorneys.

There is a good chance that I would vote for a philosopher.

It’s a very good way to get into law school. Whether you can go into law depends on how well you do in law school. Whether you can go into politics has basically nothing to do with your education (which is why so many politicians are so stupid).
