Where do I go from Google map "get directions" for the smaller streets' names?

Asked by flo (13313points) July 9th, 2013

Once google map tells you how to get there, you want to know the names of the small streets that don’t get named. You enlarge the area in question but the streets don’t get named still. So then, do you have another page to go to find out the names?

Google maps (and Bing maps) should have every known street name – including the real small ones. Do you live in a real rural community? I know that there are road in northern New Hampshire that are legally rural routes (“Rural Route #112”), but are referred to locals by a nickname. Google probably won’t know about the nickname.

On the ‘get directions’ mode there will be a step by step set of text-based directions on the left, which should include the name each street you must traverse to your destination. Is it not listed there?
