What instrumantal and or vocal, but non verbal, song or genre have you found to be the most erotic?

Asked by theodiskaz (546points) July 24th, 2013

Everyone has heard of Ravel’s Bolero, and it’s supposed affect on people. I myself find Enya’s Boadicea http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JKQwgpaLR6o exquisitely erotic. Now that I’m on the “T”, I’m searching around for love music for my wife and me to enjoy.

Grrrrrrr…
That’s my cum face too :D

@ If that’s your cum face, I bet your wife likes to be blindfolded!

I don’t have any really. There was a song from The Lost Boys that I always liked to have sex to, and Tango in the night by Fleetwood Mac.

Headhurts's avatar

Actually, I just played Tango in the Night again, I do find it very sexy, in a hot and steamy way.

Blindfolds are fun too.

I like jazz and find it to be very erotic.

It doesn’t fit all you rules, but I always thought Sade as incredibly erotic.

And I had an old album called Sun Down Lady by Lani Hall that I used to play when I had a girl over for snuggling etc. My ex didn’t like it because it was from my bachelor days.

Slow jazz saxophone – almost any piece.

@elbanditoroso that’s exactly what I was going to say. I think a smooth tenor sax is one of the most erotic sounds on the planet.

I like certain varieties of Chill.

Oh, yeah. Saxophone. Which, along with the violin, reminds me more of a human voice than any other instrument. Good answer.

Enigma : Sadeness. Actually, the whole LSD album, if you program the player to skip track seven, “return to innocence”. I have no idea why they interrupted the album with that song.

As for instruments, it’s all about drums for me. Tribal, primal drumbeats. Bellydance music. So sensual.

I’m not playing by the rules, as most of the music I like has lyrics, but this song has a pretty sexy beat and it’s great to strip to.

Lynch Mob All I Want

Ignoring the rules, my stripper song is Danzig’s “She Rides”.

ucme's avatar

@Headhurts It’s not, that was a little thing called joking, see how you were rewarded though…tee-hee.

@Seek_Kolinahr Great song! I approve!!

For the non-vanilla occasions, industrial is the way to go.

Not too many without words though.

Ministry – quick fix
NIN – at the heart of it all
Gatekeeper – chains
Rob zombie – living dead girl (photek remix)

@Silence04 Living Dead Girl. Great song!! Another one good one to strip to.

Headhurts's avatar

@ucme so was mine :-)

Easygoing oldies are the best. You can’t beat classics like Nights in White Satin or Lay Lady Lay.

theodiskaz's avatar

Well, let me say I didn’t set the rules arbitrarily to make this less fun. I think it rather easy to utter, write inherently erotic words. Now, I may be half crazy, but some instrumental/ vocal but not verbal music actually does seem inherently erotic.

The piece I linked to is by Enya, who I consider a master of vocal yet non verbal music, among other types. I don’t know, something about the beat or chord progression or tempo…I don’t know. It’s a short song, but I would really be grateful to anyone who gives it a listen start to finish without distraction, and tells me if you find it overtly sexual.

@Silence04 NIN is great for vanilla sex too! I love the remixed version of The Fragile,
“Things Falling Apart”...oh my yes.
