Is the U.S. more... or less "safe" from NSA spying on their own citizens?
I recently heard an argument that the U.S. is actually less safe because of the deluge of information the NSA now has to sort through. Instead of “profiling” their targets for more specific information, the widespread dragnet approach inundates them with so much info that they cannot possible rifle through it all.
The needle is still there… But they made the hay stack 400 million times larger.
Even when they are informed well in advance of the Boston Bomber potential threat (from the Russian Government), they cannot take the time to investigate properly because they’re too busy monitoring Grandma’s text messages to the kiddies.
