Yeah…. “cool”. Um. I’ll let you hang out with him. I’m going to join the other kids on the playground and make fun of him behind his back.

Seriously. He likes a lot of the artists I like. I think that if he weren’t the president of the US and his daddy had never been either, he might actually be and OK guy. Just so long as he isn’t making decisions which impact my life.

Aside from The Beatles, I don’t have much in common with El Presidente.

This video just made him look like an even bigger idiot. He said the same artists twice, and even after the reporter told him it was the Shuffle, he was clueless.

Much of his taste is not mine including My Sharona by the Knack and a lot of country. Here is an article on it:

”. . . much country music, but also songs by Joni Mitchell, Van Morrison and the Knack.

“iPod One,” as the player has been dubbed, is used by Bush while he pedals around his Texas ranch on a mountain bike, presidential media adviser Mark McKinnon told the newspaper.

The task of downloading the music falls to the 58-year-old president’s personal aide, Blake Gottesman, who buys individual songs and albums from the iTunes music store.

Not every track is “on-message.” The playlist—regarded by many as a mirror to the soul—includes musicians who campaigned against Bush, such as John Fogerty. Also on the iPod is the 1979 song “My Sharona” by the Knack, about a man pursuing a much younger woman.

Bush, who quit drinking after his 40th birthday, also listens to recovering alcoholic George Jones, a country singer who sings about heartbreak and drinking.”

Definately Flight of the Conchordes.

People always want to put their opinionated commentary in about the president- even when a topic is not about his policies.

I like some of the music he mentioned.

Also, recently I came across a picture of him with a Trek mountain bike (one I was actually considering buying). My respect for him went up as I love MTBing.

The whole point is policies aside he seems like an easy going guy.

You know he is listening to Willie Nelson while smoking a doobie

He’s a human just like everyone else but politics, like it does to everyone puts an entirely different light on things. I’m sure he’d be a normal sound guy as viewed by most if he wasn’t the president. His music taste can stay his though, I’ll stick to mine :) Although I wouldn’t mind listening to one or two now…

Bush looks like a monkey to me. I can only picture him listening to the music of some nearby organ grinder and dancing away for spare change.

Haha! I agree with you rockS; has anyone seen the new Harold and Kumar? George Bush’s part (fake GB) was absolutely hilarious!

Gosh, I just can’t take him seriously no matter what he’s talking about. He’s a blubbering idiot (IMO)!
