Who was responsible of 911 and who should be punished?

Asked by seharmks (11points) August 4th, 2013

There are so many details over the internet, in print and social media. Some says the drama was produced by US, even some officials of US accepted that. While other school of thought relates with Al-Qaeda… so confusing…

It has been not only ascribed to Al Qaida, but they also loudly proclaimed having done it. So take both sides assignment of responsibility.

And there are not “schools of thought” on this subject, there are only wild-haired single person odd theories by people who cannot accept a rational explanation. There is really nothing to be confide about. No real authoritative source has come up with a plausible alternative explanation.

The only one who could have told us who is truly responsible has been conveniently assassinated.

Al Qaeda has it’s roots in the Soviet-Afghan war. The US poured billions into funding and training the Mujahadeen—Muslim “Holy Warriors”, some of whom would later form Al Qaeda, the Taliban, and other Jihadist military and political groups. The US support for Islamic radicals in the region was based on a strategy of containing the USSR—turning neighbouring states either into US client states, or simply hostile to the USSR.

Ever since then, US policy has only angered people in the region and provided plenty of motivation for radicalisation and recruitment into Jihadist organisations.

It’s in light of the historical and geopolitical background that you will hear people claim that the US is in some way responsible for the 9/11 attack. The sanctions on Iraq during the 90s and the unquestioning support of Israel are themselves the motivating reasons given by the various Al Qaeda conspirators who have already been jailed (the most notable of them being unlawfully killed without a trial and without a testimony.)

Let’s just say that 9/11 was an unintended consequence of a few decades worth of US foreign policies part of a larger geopolitical strategy. No one could have imagined that those radical Islamists would have gone to quite such lengths—no one knew they were quite that evil. What would the rational response be? Well, maybe it would be to reassess US foreign policy, maybe it would be tone it down, maybe it would be to stop doing things that lead to muslims getting quite so angry at the US.

Instead it’s been the complete opposite. The invasions and occupations of Afghanistan and Iraq, the escalation of drone attacks in Afghanistan, Pakistan and Yemen, the obstinate support for oppressive dictatorships in the region while championing democracy, and the continued unquestioning support for Israel—all these things have seen suicide bombings increase to unprecedent levels (they were very rare prior to the invasion of Iraq), more violence, more deaths, less security, and more Islamic radicalism.

What some people don’t relize is that they tried destroying the us economy. All of those buildings brought income into the us.

The mad cunts who took the planes, they’re dead now & are probably receiving fair punishment in the bowels of hell…which is nice.

Why is this question being asked 13 years later?

i agree, people bringing up the past, well, it’s pretty annoying. It happened, now let it be. By next year brand new freedom towers will be standing. They will be 10 times stronger, and the security and technology in that building will surpass any building in new york. So let’s move on.
