How do I change my home page on Safari?

Asked by Emmy1234 (878points) September 3rd, 2013

I have a macbook air and when I open safari it goes straight to the apple store. Can I change this to a preferred site? How do I do it? I looked everywhere and can’t seem to figure out how to change it.

After you have opened Safari, go to the drop down menu and click on “Preferences.” Click on the General tab. There is “default web browser” and also a place for “homepage.” I’m no expert but you might try fiddling with these.

PS. If you click on the ? in the lower right hand-corner of the General Preferences page, there is more detailed help.
