Why are youtube videos black but ads playing?

Asked by Aradia8 (4points) September 5th, 2013

I have a desk top Mac running 10.5.
Safari is 3.0.4 and I can’t find a version of firefox for my operating system.
I just uploaded what appears to be a working version of Adobe – Adobe reader 9.
I’ve tried other sites as well – such as free streaming sites but nothing is loading video wise.
Any thoughts?

The 10.5 is six years old and . . . my suggestion is to get a newer OS.
Is your desk top a PowerPC or is it running an Intel processor? ?

I have chrome running on a mac mini with that OS. It will play youtube.
The key is getting the adobe flash update to be properly associated with that browser.
Maybe try installing chrome, try youtube, if that doesn’t work get the flash update and install using chrome.
