What's the best way to convert a Quicktime (.MOV) file to a MP4?

Asked by anniereborn (15511points) September 21st, 2013

I took some video on my lower end camera. When I upload it, it’s in the form of .MOV. Things like YouTube don’t use that type. So, I need to convert it to MP4.
I’m looking for something online that is free and will support 250mbs. Oh and easy is a bonus.

You don’t say whether you’re on a Mac or a PC. I use Video Converter for Mac, which costs a a few bucks and is well worth it. But there are tons of free software programs for both platforms. Just do a Google search.

Ah, I am on a PC. I did do a Google Search. I just wondered if anyone had better success with one or the other
