What are the laws regarding decals on cars in Western Australia?

Asked by bomyne (639points) October 10th, 2013

I’m aware there’s a limit to what i can put on the windscreen, but i’m wondering is there a limit to what i can put on the rest of the vehicle. I have a very nice chrome decal sticker I’d love to put at the end of the bonnet, near the car badge.

Call a local car dealer and ask him. Or your equivalent of our Department of Motor Vehicles, which varies state by state in the United States.

I think you can put whatever you want as long as it doesn’t impede your windscreens. People here have em wherever, I’m in SA.

Decals aren’t mentioned under the guidelines listed on the Department of Transport website. If the laws are anything like NSW, any placement should be fine as long as it doesn’t significantly decrease your vision or block the view of the number plate. If you are still unsure, the WA Department of Transport can be contacted here.
