When were you last so happy that nothing -- absolutely nothing -- could ruin it?

Asked by Hawaii_Jake (37345points) November 9th, 2013

I have a successful play on the boards, and marriage equality is very close to realization in Hawai`i. Nothing can spoil my happy mood.

When was the last time you were extremely exuberant?

I was rough housing with my nearly three year old nephew and he was laughing like crazy and having a great time. And yes, he won.

To say that “absolutely nothing” could ruin any mood is an exaggeration of anybody’s mood.

After a party late this summer. A friend and I went up to the roof to get some air and smoke a cigarette. One by one, everyone else went to bed or went home; I’m pretty sure they forgot we were there.

It turned into one of those long, rambling, late night talks about everything. We watched the sun come up, and then finally went to bed.

The last few hours of the night, after a party winds down, is also a pretty special time. It’s quiet and the air feels different. You’re actually there as the dew for the next day is forming. If you’re up and about with a friend or two, it feels like you’re the only people on earth.

When I got the letter confirming my approval for funding for my trans surgery. After six months of fighting the NHS for it, it was such a relief.

Well the happiest thing for me would be when I got My Puppy, Astro, A black mini schnauzer

@IheartMypuppy No, that’s not how it works. Some of the awards are secret. We are not supposed to discuss it, but if you ask a separate question, someone will send you a personal message telling you what to do. Welcome to Fluther.

Saturday. I just had an amazing, relaxing, love filled day with my boi. We bought new plants and sat by a lake in the mountains and watched the beautiful pink sunset, and made naan and curry and feasted and drank and were really merry and we loved each other more than ever! Thats all it takes for me. It was beautiful!!

I’m not sure I have ever been that happy. By nature I am a very anxious person and every time I feel happy, whatever I am worried about (and there is always something) is there in the back of my mind niggling away. However, this doesn’t mean that I don’t enjoy the happiness I do have, even though it is tainted with anxiety. Last Friday I went to see Billy Joel in concert and had a great evening. I was especially happy when he sang Scenes From an Italian Restaurant.

Hard to say. About nine years ago I lived in Arkansas. I was sitting alone in the back yard overlooking the woods and there was a small mountain view and I shed a few tears of joy at my good fortune. And that surprised me. The house was beautiful and it was on top of a very steep hill with no other homes in sight. I haven’t come close to that feeling since . Now I’m stuck in the suburbs with houses mostly all around and lots of crap in my future. I know; I know.
