What is the best way to address an answer to a question I have asked?

Asked by gary4books (315points) November 13th, 2013

In the spirit of a dialog, I often want to present more information or even ask for some when I get an answer. But I am not sure what is the best way to do this.

If you hit the @ sign on your keyboard, you will get a list of all the Jellies who have posted on your thread. If you highlight the one you want to respond to and hit enter, their name will appear at the front of your post. Then they will know you are responding to them.

Hope this is the answer to the question I think you are asking.

You can post an ‘answer’ in your own question…to add details, answer or ask follow-up questions, reply to another answer (as @janbb is suggesting), etc. Just type it in the yellow box at the bottom of the thread, and click on “Answer”.

@gary4books as Nike says “Just DO it!”

If you make an error, someone will let you know. It won’t be the first. It won’t be the last.

@janbb and @augustlan covered the @ibstubro thing.
