Are There Any Fellow Whovians On Here?

Asked by TheRealOldHippie (1659points) November 17th, 2013

If so, are you looking forward to 2:50 PM EST next Saturday for the return of the Doctor?

I absolutely loved the show when I was a kid, Tom Baker is the Doctor, all imposters trail in his wake. When the show made a comeback with Chris Ecclestone I watched it & he was very good, since then i’ve lost interest entirely & won’t be watching come Saturday.

I’ve watched Dr Who since it started in the days of black and white. It hasn’t improved over the years though it has a bigger budget. The story lines don’t always grip me the way they did and it gets a bit manic with all that running around. I will be watching but I am not expecting anything great.

I usualy wait awhile and watch several at a time. I believe the 50th anniversary special is on today.

@YARNLADY – Nope the 50th special isn’t on until its worldwide debut next Saturday, the 23rd at 2:50 Eastern time.

Big fan, but I’m pretty much over Stephan Moffatt.

I haven’t seen season 7 yet, so I’ll hold off on the 50th anniversary until I get around to that one.

In my opinon, this isn’t a Doctor WHO Anniversary Special anyway – all the specials in the past included all of the past Doctors – even going so far as to use stock footage of Tom Baker when he refused to return for the 25th.

From what I’ve heard, most of the other Doctors weren’t even asked to appear. So, screw it. I’ll see it when I see it.

@Seek_Kolinahr – From the promos I’ve seen on the BBC, it appears they’re all going to be there – at least all the ones that are still living! And would the BBC lie to us about something like this and risk alienating the fan base? I’d hope not!

I know Paul McGann was in Night of the Doctor, but I haven’t heard anything positive about any others making an appearance, apart from Smith and Tennant. Eccleston refused to appear, to the best of my knowledge (he’s kind of a dick anyway…).

OMG I can’t believe it’s only a week away. It’s going to be AWESOME

Tom Baker was once the only doctor for me…and I still love him, but David Tennant is my new favorite.

I’m still way behind. I haven’t yet finished all of the Tennant episodes.
