For me cats and geese. haha
Nothing like a purring cat and nothing like being cheek to cheek with a beak.
My gooses little eyelash kisses are divine.

Kitty.

Although, geese show extreme committment, so I like @Coloma‘s answer. They cooperate when in flight formation to let each other rest. If one is hurt another goes to be with it until it is well or dies.

If love were an animal, it would be a tardigrade.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tardigrade.

They are tiny little water born segmented animals the size of a dot made by the tiniest pencil.

Tardigrades are classified as extremophiles. An extremophile is an organism that can thrive in a physically or geochemically extreme condition that would be detrimental to most life on Earth.For example, tardigrades can withstand temperatures from just above absolute zero to well above the boiling point of water, pressures about 6 times stronger than pressures found in the deepest ocean trenches, ionizing radiation at doses hundreds of times higher than the lethal dose for a person, and the vacuum of outer space. They can go without food or water for more than 10 years, drying out to the point where they are 3% or less water, only to rehydrate, forage, and reproduce.

True love would live in space without a space suit, withstand extreme pressure, extreme temperature, withstand radiation and would be able to go without food or water for more than 10 years without drying out.

@jca and looks SOOO adorable!

In any case, it would be some sort of behaviour-altering parasite.

Probably a cat. All sweet adorable and cuddly and then when you’re not expecting it mid-cuddle you get clawed in the face.

I would have to say a kitten or a puppy. They are so cute and cuddly and you can’t ever get enough. They both love you unconditionally and always provide love with their soft kisses.

I resisted this question for so long.

A kitten. Nothing warmer. Fuzzier. As loving.

Dogs, of all the pets I have known, seem the most able to behave in a manner consistent with what we humans call love. Theirs is unconditional and unwavering.

A dog because as I have seen as mean as people are to them they still love you
