Where can I download Snapseed for my Mac desktop?

Asked by nmguy (528points) December 3rd, 2013

Looks like the digital editing program Snapseed has been bought by Google and is available only in IOS version. Is it also possible to download it to my Macbook Pro? If so, I’d appreciate someone pointing me in the right direction. TIA.

Unless you can find an old site that still has it (I don’t know of any), probably not. As far as I know the Windows and OS X versions were killed by Google.

I think it is part of the Chrome / Google+. It is a web based editor now.
Like @mrentropy said it maybe still available as a download.

Ummm….didn’t you ask this question 3 weeks ago? I answered it then. If you were interested specifically in the macos version, you could’ve stuck with that thread instead of abandoning it completely and then asking this 3 weeks later.

Tom_g, unfortunately, I was never able to find the desktop version. I have it on my iPhone, but would like to work with a larger version of the image.

Ok. Well, check out this response. Those are your options. Snapseed is available to run on your Macbook Pro – in the browser.

Thanks, Tom_g. I’ll go the browser route. I appreciate your diligence.
