How do I get ahead without any clear direction when it fizzles after five minutes?

Asked by talljasperman (21916points) December 12th, 2013

I’m like a kid in a candy store…. how can I choose what to do with the rest of my life….Right know I am focused on Fluthering and learning how to make YouTube videos, my attention varies when a new topic or discipline switches like when I find a new passion… Can I put something like Fluther as a career and to get paid?

I find that caffeine helps, for pretty much the same reason ADHD people take Ritalin. Aside from chemistry, the only other way is to have someone there to keep you on-track.

Honestly, I doubt you could make Fluther a career. Think of it more as a hobby or form of entertainment. I suggest, and I am not trying to be mean here, that you try getting outside more and interacting with people in person instead of persona.

It is normal for those in college/university to be confused regarding their careers. Choose whichever field interests you and give it a try. If you are not successful there, then switch. Its not what you do, its how well you do it. That’s what matters. Don’t stress yourselves too much, just enjoy life and your career will come.

Build sand castles in the Sahara, that might work.

If it’s any help, I was in my mid-30s before I decided on a career path. I spent a few years bouncing between mere jobs before going back to what I took vocational classes for back in high school.

Try not too try and decide on a Career chice but a passion that would lead you to the career dream.
