Are apple warranties transferrable?

Asked by playthebanjo (2949points) June 27th, 2008

I just bought a new macbook, and it comes with the iPod touch (8GB). I already have an iPod touch and do not need this one so I will try to sell it. Can anyone tell me if the warranty is transferrable to whoever buys it? (psst…hey buddy…you need a new iPod touch?)

Congrats on the new MacBook!
Here is a similar discussion that might interest you.

You can call AppleCare and transfer it to the new owner, but it’s not neccesary if the new owner has some kind of bill of sale. Double-check your serial number to see when exactly your 1 year period ends at Apple and enter your serial number under the heading “About your Support Coverage” on the right hand side toward the bottom.

Thanks for the info. I am not quite sure what allergies have to do with the macbook, but I sure there is something helpful in there someplace! LOL Better link for Marina today.
