What furniture person are you?

Asked by Hypocrisy_Central (26879points) December 24th, 2013

disclaimer Just a light bit of fluff for the holidays.

What style of furniture do you like best, leather, imitation leather, vinyl, some type of fabric, wood with cushions, rattan, wicker, etc.?

Action furniture: to suit my inactive lifestyle – recliners all the way.

I dated an interior designer and actually learned a few things from her. I learned that I need to be well-off to get the furniture I want lol.

I love fabric sectionals with wide seats and cushions. A good couch that can be slept on like a bed.

Fabric and wood. My husband and I, actually just finished making a bookcase/tv stand for the finished basement and a queen size headboard for my guest bedroom. I designed it and he made them. But honestly I like them all except vinyl, unless it is an exceptional vinyl.

I am an interior designer. ^lol. I like animal prints and imitation leather.
Why do we just have to talk about furniture :/
I really just go with it I never thought I had a “type” of furniture tbh. I would never be the type of girl who would be all Victorian style.
This has my name all over it
And this.

I also just have to say that judging by the two pictures I gave, it is quite clear how different my taste can be. That is why I say I just go with it.

Wood, wicker and rattan for me, Of course with nice comfy cushions.

Really, I’d be perfectly comfy sleeping on a pile of hay in a barn.

I don’t really buy furniture, I tend to acquire it. I do like wood floors and soft pillows. I would prefer the most claw friendly material. My style is whatever I like and whatever is cheap or free. What everything has in common is me.

Almost anything but Early American. I grew up with that and got my fill by the time I was 18.

Like @CWOTUS, I’m very attached to my leather recliner.

Early American Dormitory.
I’ll get good furniture when I am old enough to eat and not spill on myself.

I like clean lines and wood, and I like seamless form and function. Our coffee table has the lift-up top so we can eat on it or setup the laptops. Our end table can be height adjusted, and the top flips open and you can elevate it to be a second dining table. Our loveseat actually fits a queen-size sofa bed with a nice, dense foam mattress (I think the bed is more comfy than the couch). And our bed has storage drawers underneath where we keep our shoes.

When we rented this place, we used the money I’d been saving to buy a house to get furniture. My favorite pieces are the Skovby dining room set. We immediately fell in love with the sideboard that was a floor model sale. The dining table was the splurge, and luckily, the fabric we liked best for the chairs was in the cheapest tier. Most of our other stuff is from Ikea and a couple shelves and night stands that we picked up from other places.

The “I do not give a crap” style of furniture.

I like Pier One and World market decor.
Colorful, ethnically diverse, stimulating to the senses.
I have black, wooden Bombay type furniture, lots of artwork, persian rugs, paper lamps, and all sorts of interesting odds and ends.

Old wood (either antique or just ‘weathered’) and painted wood, comfy but classic upholstery, big ass faux-suede ottoman to rest our feet on. Nothing too matchy-matchy, I like an eclectic vibe.

I like hardwood grains and comfort. A gigantic oak living room set and a lazy boy recliner. Yeah, that would be great!

I’m a beat up old work bench.

I am into leather and wood. Real wood, not this MDF stuff.

KNOWITALL's avatar

Like @rojo, dark wood and real leather. I don’t want to worry about it so I get good stuff and move on to more important things.

I like leather and wicker.

Sofa and bed with a plank between them to help roll off the one and sink into the other.
