Anyone decided on a New Years Resolution yet?

Asked by ibstubro (18804points) December 29th, 2013

If so, what is it, and what to you think your chances are of keeping your resolution?

I will read all the books I’ve downloaded.
Chance of keeping the resolution: maybe 50%.

I will try to find the way to download all the comics I want to read next year.
Chance of keeping the resolution: 30% (because there are some comics very hard to come by)

I don’t even try, I know I have no resolve.

Yep, and I have started mine already. Walking at least every other day for a couple miles.
I have gone soft the last couple years, gotta get my ass in gear again. I used to do 3 mile walk jogs, every day. forever.
Now I am like an out of shape camel in the desert. lol

Re-phrasing something by Neil Gaiman:

May my coming year be filled with magic and dreams and good madness. I want to read some fine books and kiss someone who thinks I am wonderful. And i want to make some art – sing, or draw or write or build or live only as I can. And I hope sometime this year to surprise myself.

@Coloma If you are ever down in the Bay Area, let me know and I will take you for a walk around the Lafayette Reservoir.

Keep eating healthy (aside from that unfortunate holiday detour I just took) and lose more poundage.

I’m down from 285lbs. to 260lbs. Looking to hit 250.

I want to read the bible again and “The God Delusion”.
And gain more weight.

I plan on learning and beginning mastery of an astrophotography program called Pixinsight

Of course, we all HATE @dxs who is trying to “gain more weight”

Weight is suuuuuch a struggle :)

Most of us have never been in the envious position of trying to gain weight, @dxs. I realize it can be a serious concern, but it just sounds so…heavenly to many of us ‘middle-age-spreaders’. :)

Man, I wish I was blessed with a fast metabolism. I have to work out about 90 minutes a day to keep my girlish figure. I did 2 laps at the park yesterday and then went and got a massage and came home and ate more candy. lol

I need to be taught how to enjoy eating haha. But not candy! Yuck!

Wheel, Doggies! Do we have some great teachers around here @dxs!

I could go forever without junk food, but I have a terrible sweet tooth. lol

Starch is the biggest, most important food group! Best paired with selections from the Spoiled Milk food group.
