Favorite mushy quote?

With great power comes great responsibility.

This is a poem I read in my humanities textbook in high school. I loved it so much I memorized it. It is believed to have been written by a 14 year old Sumerian girl.

I was introduced to this poem, by e.e. cummings from the movie In Her Shoes. (I haven’t attempted to reproduce the poem here, because it has peculiar spacing – which I still cannot quite comprehend the meaning for, but which obviously has some meaning – else why is it spaced that way whenever it is formatted with care?)

It’s a beautiful poem, anyway.
