(NSFW) Where do you think the adult industry is headed?

Asked by LornaLove (10037points) February 7th, 2014

The Internet is pretty much saturated with porn if you are looking for it. There are sites of regular people, (amateur), large people, this type of person that type of person. It appears everyone even our neighbor is involved with it. Do you think people have become bored with it yet?

Perhaps in the decades gone by pornography was more titillating because it was harder to get hold of and fewer models were available?

Where do you think the adult industry is headed, considering many sites and hubs are becoming bankrupt due to lack of interest and over supply of eager models? Plus there is this whole ‘been there done that’ kind of boredom attached to it.

They seem to have gotten so desperate that face spitting and ‘gobbing’ in the new craze.

What’s next in line for want of titillation and not so secret thrills?

There’s probably always going to be a demand for it, otherwise there wouldn’t be that many porn sites, I guess. and yeah, I like checkin em out That is, it will exist as long as there IS the demand for it.

What I wonder is how will porn magazines survive, when it’s free everywhere on the Internet? Well, not everyone has the net, or cares about it, but that’s the only way I can see paying eight bucks a magazine as opposed to just looking for thousands of pics and vids online without paying anything.
My guess is, the industry itself is fine, because it wouldn’t exist otherwise, someone somewhere is making a lot of money from it. (as an industry, it can’t exist otherwise)

Most of the guys that I had worked with, and who are married yet, were always on porn sites on their smart phones while at work. Even my old boss would call me into his office just to show me some gross pornographic video. There I am, the single guy, and I’m not even into porn like my attached buddies are.

It will be live virtual sex between consenting individuals. It will start with crude gadgets that are remotely controlled by the other partner and soon to evolve into jump suits (with built in pleasure devices) that you wear that will allow you to feel their every touch all over your body.
Couple this technology with the Google Glasses and you could have a full on virtual affair with someone around the world…maybe even a Jelly or two!

It’s going to continue to exist, as it always has, but the technology will change. No amount of legislation or moral chest-beating will ever change that.

There’s a market for porn because people are human.

So it is, so it will always be.

Meh..I wish it would all go away, I do not support pain and shame based industry of any kind.
The perversions and exploitation are outta control and I can’t respect anyone that is a regular consumer of porn. Find a more productive hobby ya think?

As long as there are humans, and as long as they have sex, there will be a healthy porn industry.

Eventually we’ll be able to stimulate senses other that sight and sound, and porn will have taste, touch, and smell.

If Earth is lucky, that’ll reduce the human population.

@ibstubro The silver lining of porn maybe? No more real sexual encounters, just virtual encounters. Well…I’m all for anything that culls this stampeding herd of humanity. lol

ibstubro's avatar

Agreed, @Coloma. Let’s just hope that it’s share-ware and not an expensive pay service.

We don’t want Justin Bieber to have to be ‘discovered’ in order to prevent his procreation.

LOL…no s—t!

Interactive porn. You will wear sensors and vibrators on certain parts of your body, interact with a 3D AI program and get the full physical experience.

I don’t think it’s gonna fizzle out to nothing, but it’s gonna have to adapt if it wants to generate any revenue. The desperation they have turned to is not classy for sure. Who knows but you sure don’t have to pay for it these days.
