Is The Happening good?

I didn’t hear anything good about it. It’s probably a pointless movie that’s only purpose is to have a big “twist” at the end, like most M Night’s flicks. Should I bother?

I disagree with the generalization of M. Night movies, as not all of them have a big twist. 3 out of 7 movies have a twist ending (which is less then half, if my math is right), but he’s definitely given a lot of crap for writing that way. That being said, the Happening is so bad, I would suggest you see it, just to experience how bad it is for yourself.
It was pretty terrible and I watched it not knowing anything about it beforehand which usually helps me enjoy a movie more.
Is it just me or is Zoey Deschannel’s only capable of acting “whimsical”? I don’t think I’ve ever seen her do a character any other way.
The Happening feels more like a parody than a thriller. If you’re going in expecting to be thrilled, then you’ll be sorely disappointed.
I actually thought it was genuinely quite funny, although as far as I understand that wasn’t his intention so I’m left confused. I would recommend seeing if you have nothing better to do, but I’m looking forward to seeing WALL-E tomorrow.
I liked it! I liked the storyline. Am I the only one on here that does? :-/

I was all excited about this movie until I heard that Mark Walberg doesn’t remove his shirt…even once. sigh There goes my interest!

The Happening is as good like Mark Wahlberg is a rapper.
I got a kick out of The Happening. I laughed so hard for many parts and then was very confused for other parts which led to more laughter. The storyline was great but the acting…...well lets just say it confused me very much. It was almost as if they were directed to act as badly as they possibly could, almost like they purposely did B movie acting. I love M. Night and will continue to see his movies regardless of what others think.
I HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATE this movie. If I see M Night on the street, I’m going to run him over.
