(NSFW) What is masturbation to you?

So, an obviously NSFW question, something I figured I’m ask you all, men or women it doesn’t matter. (I was originally going to use a fake account to ask this, but what’s the point in it?)

What is masturbation to you? Why do you do it? I ask because for me it’s probably a bit different to what everyone else does.

For me, it’s basically just maintenance. Sure, it physically feels good for a bit, but the way I see it is just maintenance to help keep a clear head. Get it over with, and that’s it. I’ve found that if I don’t have a “release” from time to time those more primitive urges gain a bit of a foothold in my mind, and can get quite annoying. I don’t see it as “practice” for anything as I figure some might, my first and last sexual encounter was almost four years ago, I have had nothing happen since, and probably won’t have anything for a long time, if ever, so this is basically just a release so that I can keep my mind clear and focus on other things.

What does it mean for you guys (or girls). I imagine women are not as likely to have a somewhat… er, “practical” view to it.
