How to get rid of Youtube notifications on my Samsung Galaxy S3?

Asked by AshlynM (10684points) February 28th, 2014

Every once in a while, I’ll get these annoying alerts from Youtube that someone uploaded a new video on my phone. I think someome is texting me but they’re not. Not sure how to stop these and get rid of them altogether. Anyone have any clue?

Here are some suggestions for managing YouTube notifications on an S3.

Irony of ironies, most of the instructions are on YouTube. ;-)

Go into the YouTube app, settings, general, uncheck notify box.

I unchecked the box for Youtube notifications. Hopefully no more alerts. Thanks.

At youtube lots of videos which is helpful to get rid of Youtube notifications on Samsung Galaxy S3. Otherwise follow this steps – Go to Settings -> Application manager -> ALL, scroll down and find ‘Downloads’ (there are two of them) and Clear cache, Clear data and Force close. Then restart the phone.
