In the past week, John Kerry has landed in Paris, Tel Aviv, Riyadh, and Brussels - maybe more. Does he carry a passport?

First question – as secretary of state, his signature is the one on the credentials as the executive for the United States. Can his (John Kerry’s) passport be legitimate if it is issued under his own signature as the Secretary of State?

Second – do foreign countries require him to go through passport control? Or is it assumed that he is who he says he is?

Third, when he flies back to the US, is he required to show his passport (like I am) and is he subject to those obnoxious questions from the border control people?
