I think annual festivals are so much fun. My personal favorites are Burning Man and the Telluride Bluegrass Festival.
The silliest festival I have ever been to was the RC Cola and Moon Pie Festival in Belt Buckle, Tennessee. They had a moon pie tossing contest.
