Can anyone suggest stellar autobiographies to inspire me (a few scant details inside...)

Asked by serenityNOW (3397 points ) May 16th, 2014

Okay, off the top of my head:
– They don’t have to be by famous people, just interesting people.
– I’d like to illustrate it, too, so some “artsy” one’s would be neat.
– Short and sweet, if at all possible.
– I don’t want to come off as sad, so any upbeat one’s would be ideal too, however I’m open to any and all suggestions.

This guy is amazing, from a suicidal child to a motivational speaker, beautiful wife and darling son. He was born limbless.

Are you in for graphic novels?

I am about to recommend Persepolis, quite sweet as it is told by a child’s point-of-view, but it is may be a bit too much about politics.

How about Blankets? It is a bit darker, but the main focus is on the author’s life, not on other things.
